movie madness

As I was browsing through website after website looking for the latest scoops on the best movies, I saw moviemistakes.com featuring the worst mistakes made in the big screen. Well, as an avid viewer of Hollywood’s works of art, I was pretty shocked as I read the long list of 2007 movie blunders. Topping the list was a fight scene from Spider Man 3 wherein the Terminal Tower was seen instead of a New York City landmark (FYI, Terminal Tower is located at Ohio and not New York City). I did not even recognize this error!

Well, I was smiling as I read through the long list with descriptions of movie blunders. Some of it was funny. Some of it was really minimal. Some were “unforgivable” since glimpses of cameramen were seen in the scene. What struck me the most was from HighSchool Musical 2 wherein even the boxer shorts of Zac Efron was scrutinized to the last thread. Obviously, the one who saw this movie mistake was watching very closely as a regular viewer may not even recognize or see this error.

This made me think. Were the mistakes the only things the fans go for?

The regular viewers don’t even care if the color of Zac Efron’s boxers changes or not. It is the content of the movie which paid by the avid fans. It is the story which is viewed and loved by the audience (and maybe Brad Pitt too... hehehe) and not if it is made to perfection or not. Most fans were after the plot of the movie and how good the actors were and nothing less.

On the other hand, it is still fun reading through the top movie blunders. This made me reminisce on that particular movie and laugh about the mistakes the movie crew made.
